ABOUT US

The Ector Theatre was built in 1951 in it's present location, 500 N. Texas.  It ran as a top theatre in
Odessa until 1985 when it's doors closed.  The first movie shown on opening night was "Half
Angel"  with Loretta Young.  The theatre sat vacant until 2001 when the City of Odessa refurbished
the inside and outside, keeping the same decor that was original to the theatre.

Friends of The Ector Theatre, a non-profit organization headed by Don & Toni Stice took over
running the theatre from the City of Odessa in August of 2001.  Our goal is to bring family-style
entertainment to the community by way of classic movies and Branson-style live performances.

The theatre is also available for private rentals.  For more information, call the business office at
432-580-0898 Monday-Friday for 8:00am-5:00pm.
